Time for a Rest!

When writing this blog, the rhythm and words of Spirit of the West’s song “Home for a Rest” jigged through my brain.

We all need home for a rest right now, don’t we? This year has been pretty awful for almost everyone. Some worked too hard, some didn’t have enough work, some saw too much of their families, some not enough. Many are sick, some from COVID, some from the stress and loneliness and worry or fear of what is yet to come and what has transpired.

The only thing I think we can agree on is….

We all need a break!

If you have any kind of break coming to you, I hope you can use it for whatever is going to fill your cup.

So, however you recharge, refuel, or reset yourself, prioritize some time to do it this holiday season.

Remember there are plenty of free or inexpensive things which can re-energize you.  Sleep, baths, meditation, yoga (think free Youtube videos for inspiration or even guided yoga and meditation), walks outside, playing with your kids and/or pets (they demand your attention), talking with a loved one, etc.

You can do it, but you have to make you a priority!

Full disclosure, this is my last blog of the year as I too need some downtime to unwind and honestly, to get re-inspired.

For 2021, I hope to be back better than ever, to continue blogging, and to be there for my family, friends and clients; however, they need me.

So, with this last blog of 2020, “You’ll have to excuse me, I’m not at my best” (Credit to Spirit of the West again!)

I’ll be gone for the rest of the month, home for a rest.

See you all in 2021!
