Meet Shawnee Love

Founder & Lead Consultant

Shawnee Love is the owner of LoveHR, an Okanagan based consulting practice specializing in people, culture and talent management.

Since 2009, the LoveHR team has been helping clients hire and manage their people, developing and delivering skill development training, and providing coaching, advice and creative and practical HR solutions and strategies to organizations on culture and effective people management. 

Shawnee is also well known for her speaking, training and blogging on topics relevant to business owners and leaders of teams.  She is a Certified Management Consultant, a Chartered Professional in Human Resources, an Emotional Intelligence facilitator and coach, and in 2023, she completed her Masters of Arts in studies relating to workforce innovation, leadership, and organizational culture and change.

She is also a mom, outdoors enthusiast, and board member for two Okanagan based organizations.

Meet Jackie Goode

HR Solutions Consultant 

As a CPHR Candidate with a Business Administration degree, Jackie is passionate about strong workplace cultures that are built on trust, effective communication, and the ability to fail safely, learn and grow.

Jackie thrives on details and organization, while juggling priorities and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Her strong initiative, creative problem solving and desire to provide excellent work allows her to solve problems, find solutions and deliver results.

Having worked as an HR Generalist in fast-paced companies has provided her with well-rounded knowledge and experience to serve her clients.

In her spare time, you can find Jackie working on her pet project, the Lake Country Community Fridge, organizing the Kelowna Workplace Culture Group, or spending time with her husband and daughter on the slopes, at the beach, or traveling.

Meet Sherrone Lobban

HR Solutions Consultant 

Sherrone Lobban has a demonstrable track record of helping executives and boards unpack organizational strategies. She served as a United Nations Diplomat for over 15 years and is the founder of two companies. She brings the following expertise to the LoveHR Team:

  • Negotiation

A strong proponent of customized workforce development, she has designed over 100 courses and has taught thousands over the last 10 years.

Sherrone sits on several boards and is involved in building communities that promote women’s development.

She holds a Masters degree in Development Administration and Management from the University of Manchester and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). Sherrone also holds professional certificates in Leadership and Community Economic Development from Harvard and Waterloo Universities respectively.

She is married and has two daughters and three wonderful grandsons. She enjoys hiking in the beautiful Okanagan.

Meet Andrew Michaud,
Recruitment Specialist

Andrew started his career in recruitment and HR in 2016. He has a Bachelor of Management degree that he completed in 2015. In that time, he worked remotely and most recently took on multiple recruiting roles in the Okanagan.

His strengths lie within problem solving, learning on the fly, multitasking many separate roles and being a good manager and someone, people can go to for anything.

Being part-time at LoveHR, he specialises in the recruitment needs for LoveHR’s many clients around North America and devotes much of his time filling those important roles.

In his spare time way from work, you will find Andrew spending time with his Golden Retriever puppy, watching NFL football, or hockey, trying to improve his golf game and going on adventures with his friends.

Meet Petra Tregillus,
Recruitment & HR Advisor

Petra completed her Masters’ degree and started her HR career in the Czech Republic. In early years, she focused on full-cycle recruitment, talent acquisition and career consulting, using her natural drive to deliver results, creativity to find solutions, and knowledge of multiple languages to reach out to the international candidate market. After Canada became her new home, she quickly adapted culturally and carried on in her passion for HR by pursuing a professional designation and performing an HR Generalist role with a fast-paced Canadian business. Her experience across various industries and cultures, together with Petra’s dedication for making a difference, whether assisting organizations or individuals, are valuable assets that she now brings to our LoveHR clients.

She is an active mom of two young children and together they enjoy exploring the outdoors in every season, and going on family adventures, near and far.

Meet Kayleen Nortje,
Executive Assistant

As an accomplished Business Professional with a passion for organizational excellence and a proven track record of supporting C-suite executives, Kayleen brings a wealth of experience and dedication to LoveHR. With a commitment to efficiency, confidentiality, and professionalism, she strives to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the leadership teams she serves.

Kayleen’s background includes a bachelor’s in business administration completed in 2018 while working full time and 10 years of a successful career in the corporate world, and many critical projects.

Kayleen recently relocated to Canada from South Africa with her two dogs and Husband and is embracing the Okanagan Lifestyle.
