Canadian Employees Love Their Benefits

We ran a poll late last year that asked people to weight in on how important their benefits are to them and I was seriously surprised by the results.

36% said they wouldn’t give up their benefits for anything

– not even an additional $20,000 per year!

I predicted people would value their benefits, but to refuse to give them up was intriguing. Clearly, this perk (that companies don’t have to offer, and many companies can’t afford) is a big deal for employees.

It stands to reason, that if you want to attract higher quality talent and keep the great people you hire, then you should offer benefits.

Add in good management practices and good managers and you might just have the secret sauce for employee retention as well.
