Based in Vancouver, this unique opportunity requires a special individual who likes to be the hub of both the professional and personal aspects of your boss’ life. The “boss” is actually members of an active entrepreneurial family who require an information and operational hub for their private and business affairs.

The position is a split between administrative support and domestic management which requires a bright, multi-faceted, highly talented person to be successful.

On the administrative side, you would:

  • Manage an extensive travel itinerary for multiple family members
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence,
  • Update documents
  • Manage expenses for the family and the household accounts
  • Maintain files
  • Manage calendars and organize and prepare the family members for appointments

On the domestic side, activities include overseeing and organizing multiple household needs such as: Transportation, Security, Travel, Event Planning and Management, Maintenance, and a variety of other personal affairs such as shopping, chauffeuring, guest welcome, etc.

As the hub, household manager, and first point of contact to the outside, finding the right person with a balance of organizational, managerial, administrative, and communication skills as well as qualities such as high integrity, resourcefulness, initiative, and professionalism is imperative. The successful candidate will also be culturally sensitive, technologically adept, have deep knowledge of etiquette and an extensive network of contacts and resources plus a bachelor’s degree would be preferred. The successful candidate does not need to be an executive assistant, but previous experience working as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant is certainly good preparation for this type of role. This position will have the opportunity to travel with the family internationally so a passport is required, as well as a thorough background check and you must be able to work a flexible schedule and be on call as needed.
