You’ve probably heard of customer experience management (CEM) but have you heard of Candidate Experience Management?

No?

Candidate Experience Management is basically the same as CEM, except

the customers are your candidates.

Paying attention to your candidate experience is absolutely necessary if you are hiring today, because this economy is a job seeker’s market.  That is, the supply of jobs far exceeds the volume of talented job seekers.

Yup, the war for talent is on in Canada, and employers need to do everything they can to obtain an advantage when trying to hire great applicants.

One great way to get a leg up is to improve your candidate experience.  In fact, we have recently added “candidate experience assessments” to our portfolio of services and we highly encourage clients to make a good candidate experience a high priority.

If you want to improve your organization’s candidate experience, you have to evaluate the entire candidate journey, from awareness of you as an employer to getting hired.

As the acronym suggests, a good candidate experience truly is RARE and yet it can make a big difference in your ability to hire great people.
